SOUTH MIAMI, Fla. -- A South Miami doctor who is a registered sexual predator was denied bond Thursday after being accused of violating his probation.
Dr. Michael Latterman was arrested Tuesday night at Larkin Community Hospital in South Miami where he is an emergency room doctor.
Latterman, 49, is accused of performing a lewd act on an adult male psychiatric patient.
Two years ago, Latterman pleaded guilty to engaging in sexual acts with a 14-year-old boy. He was sent to a rehabilitation program and was given nine years' probation and is listed on the Florida Department of Law Enforcement's sexual predators list.
Latterman surrendered his California doctor's license in 2002, and was on probation with the Florida Board of Osteopathic Medicine. The board reportedly recorded noncorroborated charges having been made against Latterman instead of noting his guilty pleas to three counts of lewd and lascivious behavior with a child.
Latterman's next hearing is scheduled for Nov. 30.
