Starting Saturday, it will be illegal to feed the homeless in Miami while outside.

The ban won't be enforced for 90 days, but by then all outdoor feeding programs are expected to be lawfully doling out food indoors.

Commissioners believe it is more dignified to the homeless to eat inside a building and that it gives them more access to service programs that could potentially get them off the street.

The transfer of three feeding programs indoors is expected to cost $193,000 a year.

It's still not clear how the new law will be enforced.
