FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- A Fort Lauderdale judge decided Tuesday that a nanny accused of abusing a child in her care will stay behind bars.
Prosecutors argued that Claudia Muro, a Peruvian native, is a flight risk. The judge agreed.
Muro wanted to be released on bond while prosecutors appealed a decision to throw out hidden-camera video that was key to the case.
Muro's defense attorney argued successfully that the tape should be thrown out because it's not clear what frame rate the camera recorded. The result, according to the attorney, is a misrepresentation of what really happened.
