UPDATED: 8:30 a.m. EST January 9, 2001
A South Florida fisherman speared a ten-foot-long mako shark about a mile off Miami Beach Monday.
The fisherman said that he harpooned the big fish while it was eating a sea turtle.
The shark is not a common sight in South Florida waters, makos usually prefers colder temperatures.
