Police: Elementary School Teacher Propositions Girls

MIAMI -- Police arrested a Miami elementary school teacher Thursday, saying he solicited sex from a 12-year-old girl and a 14-year-old girl.
Joseph Conte, 55, taught music at EWF Stirrup Elementary. The teacher approached two girls near the intersection of Southwest 117th Court and 206th Court, according to police.The girls reportedly said Conte parked near them as they walked to a friend's house and then offered them $50 in exchange for sexual favors.The girls ran away but were able to get Conte's license tag, which is how police caught him.Conte is charged with four counts of lewd and lascivious conduct.He was released on bond Thursday night. There's no word yet from Miami-Dade County schools about what they'll do with Conte.He was not at a school today and neither was his wife, who is a physical education teacher at the school.
