UPDATED: 2:54 pm EST February 18, 2005

A fatal car crash over night took the life of one teenager and left three others injured.

The wreck happened about 2:30 a.m. along Southwest 137th Avenue near 94th Street. Police tell us four teens were in the car when the driver, 18-year-old Gustavo Rozco, tried to change lanes, overcorrected and slammed into the median, ejecting Rozco and all three passengers.

Rozco was killed in the crash. Two were taken to Baptist Hospital. The third was more critically injured and was flown to Jackson Memorial Hospital.

Local 10 was told that no one in the car was wearing a seat belt. Miami-Dade police say speed was a factor in the crash.

The accident scene was cleared, so traffic in the area was not affected.
