BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. --
The Seminole Tribe wants a turnpike exit to the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, and they say they may pay for the project themselves.
The tribe is considering a building a Stirling Road exit to the casino. The Florida Department of Transportation is considering the project and will evaluate costs, environmental and traffic impacts.
The Seminoles already paid $16 million for an expansion project on U.S. 441 between Griffin and Stirling roads.
There was no word as to when a final decision will be made regarding the project.
