Four Miami-Dade firefighters were overcome by suspected carbon monoxide poisoning at a 30-story Aventura high rise Monday.

A firefighter is treated at the scene.
The four were taken to Mercy Hospital after responding to a report of a routine alarm at the Landmark building around 9:30 p.m.

The firefighters put on breathing equipment and got themselves out after getting to the top floor.

Fumes came from an area of mechanical rooms with air conditioners, heaters and generators.

Residents were not evacuated. Tests show the fumes were confined to a small area.

The firefighters were released from Mercy Hospital Monday morning.
