HOLLYWOOD, Fla. -- A Broward County high school student fought off a would-be abductor this morning, according to police.
Investigators said the 16-year-old girl was walking to McArthur High School in Hollywood about 7 this morning when a man pulled up in a car and tried to grab her. The girl managed to kick the man in the groin and hit him with her book bag and got away. She then called police on her cell phone.
Police described the man they are looking for as Latin, in his 30s, with a mustache. The girl said the man was wearing a white T-shirt and was driving a newer model four-door gray Mitsubishi Galant with a Mexican Flag hanging from the rear view mirror
Officers are canvassing the area and are asking if anyone sees this vehicle that they call the Hollywood Police Department at (954) 967-4357.
