Spring Breaker Forced Into Prostitution, Police Say

MIAMI -- Police say a couple of men picked up a 16-year-old girl during spring break and forced her into prostitution.

Police said that the girl, who was from Daytona Beach, met Chad Yearby, 24, and Anthony Madison, 22, both of Miami, during spring break. The girl said she was convinced to run away to Miami with Yearby because she became romantically involved with him.

Investigators said that after a short time, the girl was convinced that she had to become a prostitute to contribute to the expenses of the household. Police said Yearby, Madision, and Justin Evans, 24, were her pimps.

In late April, when the girl decided to quit, she was severely beaten by Madison who also tried to run her down with a car, according to police.

A confidential informant told Miami special victims unit detectives about what was happening to the girl, and after an investigation, police arrested all three men.

The girl has been returned to her family in Daytona.
