DAVIE, Fla. --
A homeowner shot and killed a burglar on the patio of his Davie home this morning, police said.
Davie Police Talk To Local 10The shooting happened just before 2 a.m. at 15025 S.W. 51st St. The home is inside a gated community called Chelsea at Ivanhoe.The homeowner shot the man twice. The deceased is said to be between 18 and 20 years old.The residents of the home told police they were sleeping when they heard a noise and found the young man in their home. Fearing for their lives, one man took a gun and shot the alleged intruder.
