Jury Reaches Verdict In Allegedly Starved Baby Case

POSTED: Monday, November 7, 2005
UPDATED: 6:19 pm EST November 7, 2005

After just over two hours of deliberation, a jury has found parents accused of starving their baby to death not guilty of manslaughter.

Joseph and Lamoy Andressohn were each found guilty on four counts of child neglect.

The couple had four children, including Woyah, who died in May 2003. Woyah weighed about 7 pounds, half her normal weight when she died.

The Andressohns eat and feed their children only natural, uncooked foods. Woyah was fed wheat grass, coconut water and almond milk.

There is no word yet on a sentencing date for the couple.
