Man, Sofa Fall Into Middle Of I-95

BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. -- The Florida Highway Patrol said that a man and a sofa fell from the back of a truck into the middle of Interstate 95 while he was helping move some furniture.Police said the man, along with some other people, was traveling south on I-95 Tuesday evening when the incident happened. It was unclear why the man was in the back of the truck, but FHP said he was probably trying to help hold the furniture in place.The driver of the truck didn't realize that the sofa and the man had fallen from the truck, and according to FHP, he took a while to return to the scene, just south of Commerical Boulevard.The man was transported to Broward General Medical Center. FHP said that his injuries are not life threatening, but he was "banged up pretty bad."
