Unsigned Search Warrants Stall Canker War
Ag Department Wanted Judge To Sign More Than 300 Warrants
The war on canker is still on hold as another hearing on the matter is scheduled for today.

The Agriculture Department asked a judge to sign more than 300 search warrants so workers can enter people's property and cut down canker infected trees.
But the judge said that he couldn't do that under Florida law and needs approval from the state legislature, which doesn't meet again until next year.
The judge is now considering whether to grant state workers the right to inspect citrus trees.
