Beauty Shop Owner Fatally Shot Execution-Style

NORTH MIAMI BEACH, Fla. -- Police said the owner of a beauty store was shot execution-style in the head and killed by a robber Tuesday afternoon.

Mohammed Ayoub was executed outside the door of the $ & Beauty shop he had owned for about five years after he tried to protect his business from being robbed at about 3 p.m., police said. Ayoub, 60, was airlifted to Jackson Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

"This incident that happened (Tuesday) is most unfortunate for all the family," uncle Shaukat Ali Mughal said.

Ayoub's shop did not have surveillance cameras, but a nearby Discount Auto Parts did. It was that video that helped police put together a composite sketch of the suspected shooter.

He is described as being 5 foot 10 inches and was last seen wearing a visor, gray striped polo shirt and blue baggie shorts.
