Bus Carrying Lieberman Involved In Collision

Collision Occurred After Lieberman Recorded Interview At Local 10

POSTED: Wednesday, August 6, 2008

A bus carrying U.S. Sen. Joe Lieberman was involved in a collision after leaving Local 10 on Wednesday.

Lieberman was traveling in presumptive Republican presidential nominee John McCain's bus, the "Straight Talk Express," when it collided with a van at the intersection of 54th Street and Biscayne Boulevard.

The collision occurred after the senator from Connecticut recorded an interview with Local 10's Laurie Jennings.

Lieberman, who is backing McCain's bid for the presidency, is best known for being the Democratic candidate for vice president in 2000.

Nobody on board was hurt.
