A weekly Miami paper is drawing flak today after featuring a cartoon of a well-known South Florida politician smoking crack.

A column accompanying the drawing (pictured) of Miami Commissioner Art Teele in The Street says he jabbers at meetings, "like a lit-up crackhead."

The cartoon proved controversial enough that the edition of The Street was pulled from circulation, and a revised version was printed.

The Miami Herald owns the paper and its general counsel said the following about the controversy:
"As a result of my legal opinion the paper was pulled. Some copies had been distributed. They were collected and retrieved."

Teele called the matter a very "painful episode" and said it goes "way over the line." The column's author, Greg Baker, says he favors "inflammatory writing."
