Raptors Sign First-Round Pick DeRozan

Toronto, ON -- (Sports Network) - The Toronto Raptors have signed first-round draft pick DeMar DeRozan through the 2010-11 season.

Per team policy, financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

DeRozan, who was selected ninth overall in this year's draft, averaged 13.9 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.5 assists in his lone season with the University of Southern California. His 485 points ranks third all-time for a USC freshman and his 201 rebounds ranks fourth.

The 6-foot-7, 220-pound forward earned first-team Pac-10 All Freshman honors and was named Pac-10 Tournament MVP. DeRozan, 19, averaged 29.2 points in his senior season at Compton High School.
