MIAMI -- Gov. Jeb Bush is showing support for a plan helping the Florida Marlins build a new stadium.
The plan lets the Marlins keep $60 million in sales taxes generated by the new ballpark. However, Bush is facing opposition. Senate President Jim King says he won't back any proposals offered during this year's legislative session to direct state dollars for a stadium.
Marlins President David Samson says he's glad to hear Bush recognizes the importance of baseball in South Florida.
