Lots of people are also keeping in touch with Twitter, a social Web site that allows users to send one-sentence updates about their lives to their friends.

JustNews.com sends our Twitter followers headline updates several times per day on Twitter. Click here to visit our Twitter page.

Sign on to the site, establish an account and you can, simply, choose from an endless supply of people, organizations and celebrities to "follow," as Twitter users describe receiving messages called "Tweets".

Now, it goes without saying we'd highly encourage you to make "talkto10" your first follow -- reporters send Tweets from the field while covering stories, and any breaking news is immediately "tweeted" to you.

You can also tweet back and send us story ideas. Or just ask political reporter Michael Putney where he buys his ties. It's another way to engage a two-way conversation with Local 10, as JustNews.com's Barb Besteni says.

"We're really looking forward to using it during hurricane season," Besteni said.

Then, reporters will provide tweets from the field, and the Local 10 weather team will keep viewers informed via Twitter as well.
