Wendy Corona
Wendy Corona joined Mark Schumacher for the Local 10 Morning News in August 2003. Prior to joining Local 10, Wendy anchored and reported in California, Arizona, Texas and Florida.
As a member of many highly regarded and award winning news teams, Wendy has participated in the coverage of many large news events including the verdict in the O.J. Simpson murder trial, the Elian Gonzalez case, the controversial 2000 Presidential election and the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
Aside from her professional work, Wendy regularly gives of her time at charitable events. She spends much of her personal time in the community speaking at local schools and various public events. Wendy is an active member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists and the California Chicano News Media Association.
Born and raised in Southern California, she graduated from the University of Southern California with a major in Broadcast Journalism and minors in Spanish and Economics. Wendy is an admirable golfer and enjoys playing tennis, kickboxing and of course, meeting new and interesting people.
