Gwen Belton

Gwen Belton joined Local 10 News in August 1998.

A Mississippi native, Gwen started her career in Greenville, Miss. as the weekend anchor/weekday reporter.

From there she moved on to Natchez, Miss to start up a brand new news operation at WNTZ Fox40 in Natchez, Miss. There she served as news anchor and reporter. She also produced and directed a 30 minute talk show. Gwen's career would then take her to Jackson, Miss. as weekend anchor/weekday reporter. She was quickly promoted to the 5 p.m. weekday anchor slot where she remained for 10 years prior to coming to Local 10.

Gwen has received many awards from community organizations including first place by the Associated Press for her coverage of flooding along Mississippi's gulf coast.

Gwen is a graduate of Alcorn State University in Lorman, Miss. with a BA in English Communications.
