LAUDERDALE LAKES, Fla. -- The Broward Sheriff's Office said a cultural festival planned in Lauderdale Lakes on Sunday is expected to cause traffic delays on State Road 7.
The city of Lauderdale Lakes and the Greater Caribbean American Cultural Coalition are hosting the 15th Annual Unifest Multi-Cultural Festival from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. at Vincent Torres Park in the 4300 block of Northwest 36th Street.
BSO said the event is expected to draw lots of people to the area, and the extra traffic could cause backups on State Road 7.
Police urged drivers who aren't attending the event to avoid State Road 7 between Oakland Park and Commercial boulevards that day.
